The DoK Cafe - a series of workshops focused on using Webb's Depth of Knowledge framework to help ensure rigorous teaching and learning.

Main Dish sessions - one per month, required for all staff.

Side Dishes - choice sessions throughout the year.


Follow up sequence of workshops designed to extend and clarify the learning experienced in the DoK Cafe.

Integrated data analysis and a review of student work into the sequence.


Local school sequence of workshops to continue to deepen our work on the "three pillars" our our school: relationships, collaboration, and rigorous learning.

Current sequence of workshops extends previous year while simplifying structure to two "pillars" and includes our preparation to install an IB MYP Program as well as become a PBIS school.

Transformed faculty meetings and grade level meetings into a shared, school wide Top 20 Teachers Book Study.

Book study PLC for mentees, teachers receiving additional support, and veterans interested in refreshing their classroom management and deepening their instructional skills.

Workshop focused on building staff capacity to use rubrics, graphic organizers, and the "Highlighter Breakdown" strategy to improve student writing.

Building teacher capacity to integrate literacy activities into all subjects so that students are prepared for the constructed and extended response segments of the GA Milestones assessments.

Credentialed presenter for Thinking Maps. Developed and implemented school wide program to integrate maps into unit plans for all subjects, including COnnections.

Facilitated a range of Web 2.0 technology trainings, Thinking Maps trainings, and teacher leader trainings such as Data Analysis using Plan-Do-Check-Act.

Workshop focused on increasing our ability to use teacher presence and non-verbal cues to manage the classroom.


Workshops at county leadership conferences that detail how we utilize job-embedded professional learning, follow up support from instructional coaches, teacher leader programs such as the IB Curriculum Council, and PLCs to continuously improve our learning community.

Presented to Leadership Academy two workshops on how to give effective feedback based on Rutherford's 30 Second Feedback and 5 Minute Feedback protocols.
