Schoolwide S.T.E.A.M. Program

Development and Installation at Sebastian Middle School, in coordination with the University of Florida, Lastinger Center for Education, 2016-2018

  • Created and led a Curriculum Council to implement a STEAM driven school improvement process

  • Assessed institutional needs, researched best practices in similar programs experiencing success, synthesized resources to create instructional materials, applied research based strategies to program development and staff training, developed community partnerships for stakeholder mentorship and long term funding

  • Provided strategic direction for training and development over two years to ensure a consistent approach, PLC Team collaboration, and sharing of high impact strategies

  • Led a team of administrators, teachers, and district personnel to assess readiness, identify resources, and create an action plan for the multi-year IB standards of operation adoption process
